Thread: Eco Fashion

by | October 20, 2016

So far, the fair shopping was more of a good ecological conscience that fashion temptation. Bamboo and organic cotton fiber has thus taken place in our wardrobe, but from there to make ultra hype looks at basic sweater made in Cuzco, there was still a gap to cross. Ditch the BBC has decided to fill by launching an online 100% ethnically OK mag, while fashionnement sharp…

The good feelings are a time but if the market does not adapt to consumer desires, the best initiatives can not be sustainable. It is thus possible – tend oblige – to feel concerned by the problems facing the planet and realize that the way we consume has to change, but if for that you need to give up living fashion, there is little chance that behaviors change permanently.

Now, more and more small claws are doing great work for fair wardrobe. The time when the eco-fashion was basically a nice array of illuminated Larzac is thus well and truly over. It was enough to walk down the aisles of the last Who’s Next to see how the young generation of designers had managed to integrate concepts of recycling, vintage and fair trade in their production dynamics, without the charge “stylistically” to customers.

However, if the creation moves, its media coverage is still quite sporadic. Certainly, when a large chain such as H & M launches organic line, all are quick to relay information, but when it comes to young shoots to reduced production, efforts to combine organic and fashion are often letter dead.

In this context, the appearance of the magazine “Thread” marks a real advance in the field. Finally a publication featuring only products made in compliance with human rights and recycled materials or environmentally, all presented in an attractive form worthy of a good female… Hopefully this kind of initiative gives ideas to french media groups…
